PREGNANCY CHIMES
(Harmony Bells, Mexican Bola, Angel Catcher)
-Given to a female of any age & worn around the
neck, body movement causes a delightful tinkling sound which is said to attract
angels.
About 20 weeks into pregnancy, the bola is placed on a
long chain, such that it rests on the uterus.
Movement of the mother causes the tinkling sound which draws angels to
the baby. As well, the bay connects the sound
to the mother and relaxes.
After birth, the bola may be employed to soothe the baby
when ever needed. The baby will
associate the tinkling sound with the mother even if the mother is not present.
The bola becomes an heirloom as it is passed down to
the grown child to wear.
